Activity Coordinator Assistant 

Wage: $16 an hour depending on experience and certifications

Hours: Part Time 9-3pm. Must be willing to work evenings & week-ends  

Overview: Assist planning, coordinating, and facilitating resident monthly calendar of events, daily activities, outings, and special events under the direction of management personnel. To creatively plan, schedule, and execute daily resident activities to stimulate and address the five senses in a pleasant interactive manner; and plan, assist, and participate with resident crafts, workmanship projects, and outdoor activities. Research activities/programs to assist Care Team with resident based interactive techniques. Schedule, transfer, and safely transport residents on bus trips for leisure, appointments, group activities, and events, following safety rules and regulations at all times


 Minimum Job Requirements

  • Collaborate effectively with residents, co-workers, and others; take direction from management personnel; and independently follow through on assignments.
  • Stay abreast of changes and innovation in the area of recreational activities, state and federal regulations regarding long-term care to incorporate and implement changes to current programs, to include documentation and staff training assistance.
  • Effective use of time management skills to prioritize and multi-task job duties.
  • Must possess professional, tactful, and productive interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal form, to govern, constructively influence, enlist, and inspire participation of others.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.  Ability to learn new computer concepts
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Education, Certification, License, and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred
  • Possess CPR/First Aide current certification and/or willingness to obtain on or before hire, and maintain on-going certification
  • Prefer a valid CDL driver’s license and meet State requirements to transport passengers on Company bus
  • Clear and unexpired Health and Welfare and Idaho State Police background check and/or willingness to obtain on/or before hire
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years previous related job experienced in a geriatric environment; such as, an assisting living, memory care, long-term care, and/or other entity that provides aging adult care. Educational teaching background a plus.
